Obviously I am a recovering professional wrestling fan. This portrait of The Undertaker was an exercise in two-chalk technique. It's not quite the classical materials, since the blacks range from conte to carbon pencil to compressed charcoal. White conte highlights. I was looking at a lot of Pierre-Paul Prud'hon academies at the time! Wrestlers are striking physical specimens and can be very interesting to draw, though obviously I'm working from photos.
Image area is about 10 x 12 inches. It's matted and framed, though it's no longer on my wall; I'd be willing to sell or trade it for the right deal. Obviously the big email addy and date are not on the original!
I love the details of his tattoos (especially the demon one), and the details of his eyes is just pure love!
